Things to See and Do in Aberdeen

Aberdeen is a beautiful place to visit with so much to see and do, including city shopping, the sight seeing of the landmarks, a night watching a play at the theatre, the museums and galleries to visit, and much more besides. Here at Rennie Motorhomes, we have spent a great deal of time experiencing Aberdeen’s unique culture, which is why we will look into some of our favourite Aberdeen pastimes in this blog.

Kincorth Hill Nature Reserve

Kincorth Hill nature reserve is a glorious safe haven with a series of paths running across the hillside through areas of woodland and grassland. If you are interested in bird watching, nature watching and dog walking, then Kincorth Hill nature reserve is just for you. There is also a pond towards the eastern end of the reserve which is alive with frogs, frog spawn and numerous other pond creatures.

Aberdeen Maritime Museum

Over the years, Aberdeen has prospered from sea-based industries; from the boom of the city’s fishing industry in the early 20th century, to its oil industry today. Aberdeen Maritime Museum is an award winning museum that tells the story of Aberdeen’s relationship with the sea. It has a unique collection that covers shipbuilding, fast sailing ships, fishing and port history.

Blair’s Restaurant

After a day exploring Aberdeen’s many attractions, indulge in a food experience you won’t forget by sampling the menu of Blair’s Restaurant. This intimate, award winning restaurant offers a fine dining experience, utilising the finest ingredients. It is situated within the stunning setting of Ardoe House, which was originally built in 1876. The warm and friendly service is accompanied with outstanding cuisine and top class wine.

As you can see from the list above, there is plenty for you to see and do.
